Another legend muscle-can Dodge Challenger was released in 1970 in the form of the cabriolet, this model has established itself in racing disciplines. The basic power unit was the 6-cylinder 3,7 l. engine of 145 hp. But the most memorable were V8 Magnum 6 Pack with a capacity of 7187 cm3 (390 hp) and V8 Hemi (425 hp).

The reborn of Dodge Challenger was in 2007, so has debuted in 2008 in Chicago and Philadelphia. After the first 3 days of official sales, these cars were sold the year ahead.

The exterior of the previous model was totally redesigned and recreated. New false radiator grille, round twin headlights and the integrated bumper, hidden rear spoiler, integrated fog lights have formed the new look of Dodge Challenger. Powerful shapes were stressed with high line of glassing, the long bonnet line and plain sides of the body.

The specialists of Chrysler (the owners of Dodge brand) wanted to preserve the classic features of the muscle cars of 70s in the interior, not forgetting about the modern safety system and comfort, and also about modern electronic systems. For best comfort sports seats with deep seating and side support were created, they were made of both smooth and perforated skin. The front seats were made heated. On the central console (a little bit tuned to the driver) was located a multi-touch display which provides the functions of a Kicker audio system (with hard drive and 13 speakers), and voice controlled navigation unit. The control unit of climate control is located below the display, and a stylish transmission grip is lower on the central console.

Dodge Challenger had some changes in 2011. The basic engine V6 Pentastar (305-hp) bacame more powerful and effective, the most expensive variant Challenger SRT8 has 6.4 l. V8 HEMI engine (470-horsepower). 2 transmissions were offered: a five-speed Shiftable Automatic and a six-speed manual. The machine has got inproved exterior with new spoilers and inverted grille and new interior.

Dodge Challenger has got the amount of awards and world-wide recognition.
