Mitsubishi Eclipse

Mitsubishi Eclipse – a compact sport car that first appeared in the market and in the world in 1989. Its production lasted for almost 20 years during which the Eclipse had been modified almost four times. This car instantly became one of the most loved and desired sport coupes in America. The main reason for that was and still is Eclipse’s affordability and comfort along with its absolutely stunning design. It was initially designed and built for US market only and it’s really difficult but not impossible to find an Eclipse somewhere else in the world.

Mitsubishi Eclipse is the remaining model of the rest of its brothers, Plymouth Laser and Eagle Talon. These two didn’t last long so the management of the joint venture between Mitsubishi and Chrysler decided to get rid of them. Eclipse was the only successful model anyway. This sport coupe was offered in four different front-wheel trim levels: GT, SE, GS Base and most importantly GS Sport.

The GS base version has a 2.4 liter 4 cylinder 162 hp engine and a pretty awesome air-conditioning system. GS Sport has the same engine the GT’s have with some additional features for the comfort lovers, such as heated front seats, leather salon and even power driver seat. SE version is equipped with a 3.8 liter 365 hp V6 engine with addition of some special wheels, larger brakes and sport suspension and a five-speed manual transmission. GS and GT versions have the automatic four-speed transmission as a default option.

With generations of new models coming instead of the previous the design of this car also changed but not entirely. The long stylish lines, sporty look and the unmistakable pop-up front lights that look like cat eyes remained for all the versions of the car. Mitsubishi Eclipse catches your attention every time you see it because, quite frankly, this one is a real star. Interior design is even better than the exterior appearance. Leather seats, air-conditioning and sound system, perfectly thought control panel, front airbags and much more. There’s an enormous level of comfort and style present in this car and buying the Eclipse for business or family use would be a great choice.
