Dodge Dart

The first Dodge Dart appeared in 1960 and almost instantly became the best car Dodge had ever made. Its production lasted until 1976 and consisted of four generations. The last one was a compact car that gained the most success for its great performance and driving experience. It’s almost impossible to find a family in America that had a possibility and didn’t own a Dart during those years.

Today Dodge is trying to repeat the success of the previous days with its new version of Dart that will appear in 2013. The basic structure, steering and suspension are taken from Alfa Romeo Giulietta, a European sporty hatchback. However, it is way larger and bigger than the Italian prototype, providing more space for passengers and the driver. It may look like a compact car from the outside but it sure doesn’t feel like one from the inside.

The trim levels come in five versions: R/T, SE, Rallye, SXT and Limited. The SE, Rallye, SXT and Limited versions are equipped with a standard 2.0 liter engine that consists of four cylinders and 160 hp. You can choose from six-speed manual or automatic transmission. The optional 1.4 liter 4-cylinder turbo engine with 160 hp gains the maximum acceleration any other Dart could have. It also offers you a better fuel economy. The R/T has an exclusive engine, the 2.4 liter 4-cylinder kind with the 180 hp. It offers the same transmission choices however.

The basic equipment in the new 2013 version of the Dart amazes every car lover out there, even the ones who are used to technologically advanced vehicles. The usual comfort and security are performed on the entirely new level. Among the features that transform every ride with Dodge Dart into an adventure come dual-zone climate control system, amazing sound system, blind-sport warning system, U-connect touch screen control panel, and so many more of them you won’t be surprised if the car starts talking to you. And with the interior salon design that makes you hold your breath for a second you can almost feel the impeccable style of the new Dodge Dart.
